Hawai'i Island Beacon Community

I recently had an opportunity to work with Olomana Loomis ISC in downtown Honolulu on a project for Hawai'i Island Beacon Community. HIBC wanted to make an online directory that would, ". . . connect health and wellness organizations with residents acrosss Hawaii Island to help them lead healthy and active lifestyles." My part in assisting Olomana Loomis ISC was two-fold. First, help design the backend so the system would run efficiently, allowing for future growth. Second to assist with a front-end user interface that looks professional and flows smoothly. The timeline for the project was short, only a couple of days. We were able to work effectively together and complete it on time! HIBC was extremely pleased with the results. Moonglow Jewelry - Update

Almost completed with Moonglow Hawaii's website. It's been a pleasure working with the owner, Carrie Wolf, who designs and creates all the jewelry by hand. The website utilizes the ExpressionEngine CMS (content management system) allowing Carrie to add, remove and sell her custom pieces online. The site is designed to be simple and elegant, letting the jewelry sell itself. I especially enjoyed the opportunity to work on and create a new logo for Carrie. About.me Social Networking

I ran across another great social networking tool called http://about.me. The idea is simple, everyone who signs up gets a one page to spotlight who they are, what they do, or anything else they want. The customization options are enough to allow quite a bit of creativity. So why bother with another social networking website? Because about.me is a hub for all your social networking. Not only are people able to find out a little about you but they can check out your Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn profiles, websites, blogs, even your Flickr or Instagram photos. 1140 CSS Grid

Lately I've been working on redesigning my website. This time around I found a great new CSS framework I have been working with called 1140 CSS Grid that does exactly what I need.
